Description:
The State of Michigan, Department of Transportation, is seeking a contractor to perform a hot spot analysis to identify specific segments of trunkline as risks for Wildlife Vehicle Collisions. The analysis will focus on a suite of wildlife and will be conducted using wildlife movement, habitat, and landscape data to determine where key crossing locations intersect with trunklines. The contractor will be required to identify and model occurrences of Wildlife Vehicle Collisions (WVCs) on MDOT trunkline statewide, identify and model wildlife habitats/corridors that intersect MDOT trunkline statewide, synthesize modeled data into a wildlife crossing hotspot layer and GIS-based web map, conduct field visits to the top 20 hot spot locations identified, identify solutions and develop decision support tools, and participate in public outreach events for top hot spot locations. • The contractor must have experience working with the State of Michigan and have a proven track record of successfully managing contracts of similar size and scope. • The contractor must provide a detailed project plan, including a breakdown of tasks, timelines, and milestones. • The contractor must identify key personnel, including a project manager and team members, and provide their resumes and information about their experience and qualifications. • The contractor must provide a pricing schedule, including a description of budget items, prices for each activity, and a payment schedule based on deliverables.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$500,000 – $2,000,000

The budget for this contract is not explicitly stated in the document. However, based on the scope of work and the fact that it is a statewide project, it is likely that the contract value will be in the range of $500,000 to $2 million. This estimate is based on the assumption that the contractor will need to invest significant resources in data collection, analysis, and modeling, as well as field visits and public outreach events. The actual budget will depend on the contractor's proposed pricing schedule and the State's evaluation of the proposal.
