Description:
The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) Division of Aquatic Resources (DAR) is seeking a qualified Contractor to redesign the DLNR-DAR website to improve information flow, aesthetics, and user experiences. The scope of work includes three phases: design and development, content development, and launch of the new website. The Contractor will work with DAR to plan, redesign, develop, and launch a new website, as well as provide guidance and a plan for post-launch maintenance of the website. Key responsibilities include: • Redesigning the website to improve information flow, aesthetics, and user experiences • Developing a style guide for the website and ensuring consistency in terminology and visual design • Creating a plan for maintenance of the website and providing guidance on post-launch maintenance • Ensuring the website is accessible and compliant with industry and State of Hawaii standards • Providing site navigation and search engine optimization • Ensuring responsive design for mobile, tablet, and desktop devices • Optimizing cross-platform compatibility on all major desktop and mobile browsers The ideal candidate will have experience in website design and development, as well as familiarity with Hawaiian aquatic habitats and species, conservation, and fishing.
