Description:
The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) is seeking information on industry capabilities to meet their requirements for instrument flight procedure production software. The software must be able to ingest various digital formats of aeronautical information, design terminal instrument procedures, and provide automated aeronautical terminal instrument procedure design. The software must also be able to adapt to changes in terminal procedure design criteria and be hosted in a Cloud environment. The NGA is looking for information on current industry capabilities that can meet their requirements, including the ability to perform geodetic horizontal and vertical datum conversions, display multiple terminal charting projections, and evaluate terminal instrument procedures against Special Use Airspace (SUA). • The software must be able to ingest NGA Digital Aeronautical Flight Information File (DAFIF), NGA Digital Vertical Obstruction File (DVOF), NGA Digital Terrain Elevation Data (DTED), and Aeronautical Information Exchange Model (AIXM) digital format aeronautical information. • The software must be able to design terminal instrument procedures, including RNAV and conventional navigation instrument approach procedures. • The software must be able to evaluate terminal instrument procedures against NAVAID service volume and identify requests for NAVAID expanded service volume. • The software must be able to assess departure obstacles and guide users to develop RNAV and conventional navigation Obstacle Departure and/or Standard Instrument Departure Procedures. • The software must be able to generate graphic depictions of terminal instrument procedures and output Final Approach Segment data block (FAS DB) information.
