Description:
The Group Insurance Commission (GIC) is soliciting bidders for the acquisition of a consultant to support the design, procurement, implementation, and operation of the group Prescription Drug Benefits offered to eligible individuals through the GIC. The selected consultant will work closely with the GIC's health plan consultant and be involved in the GIC's annual rate renewal process. The consultant should have a strong understanding of the full scope of pharmacy benefits, including Non-Medicare and Medicare/EGWP benefits, and bring creative approaches to procuring and structuring the PBM relationship. Some key aspects of the job include: • Project management • Actuarial and technical analyses • Vendor procurement • Initiative/plan implementation • Clinical, financial, and operational analyses and assessments in both the Non-Medicare and Medicare pharmaceutical markets • Working with the GIC to consider changes that will improve the cost-effectiveness and quality of its pharmacy benefit • Bringing creative approaches to managing drug costs in a manner that minimizes passing the costs to members
