Description:
The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is soliciting sealed bids from responsible and qualified contractors to perform the required work for the driveway and parking lot replacement at 25 Southview Drive, Wayland, NY 14572 in Steuben County. The project includes the removal of existing asphalt pavement, concrete curbs, and sidewalks, as well as the installation of new asphalt pavement, concrete curbs, and sidewalks. The contractor will be responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and for coordinating with utility companies to ensure that all utilities are properly disconnected and reconnected. The contractor will also be responsible for providing documentation of mandatory pre-award submittal requirements, including vendor responsibility questionnaires, references, and experience. • The project requires the removal of existing trees and the grinding of stumps to a depth of 24 inches below the new finished grade. • The contractor must provide a schedule indicating the proposed sequence of operations and include coordination for shut-off, capping, and continuation of utility services as required. • The contractor must verify all existing underground utility depths and locations prior to excavation and notify the architect and owner of any conflicts. • The contractor must provide temporary erosion and sediment control measures to prevent soil erosion and discharge of soil-bearing water runoff or airborne dust to adjacent properties and walkways. • The contractor must maintain insurance to protect against liability under workmen's compensation acts and other employee benefits acts in accordance with the laws of New York State, and from liability for damages because of bodily injury, including death and property damage.
