The METRO Regional Transit Authority is seeking bids for daytime janitorial services at the Robert K. Pfaff Transit Center. The awarded vendor will provide janitorial services, including daily cleaning, trash removal, and maintenance of the facility. The vendor will be required to have at least 3 years of experience in providing similar services and will be evaluated based on their approach to managing the project, demonstrated experience with similar projects, and pricing proposal. The contract will be for a period of 3 years with 2 option years. Some key responsibilities of the vendor include:
• Providing daily janitorial services, including cleaning and maintenance of the facility
• Ensuring the absence of dust, lint, spider webs, litter, and/or trash in facilities, on surfaces, floors, walls, ledges, furniture, equipment, fixtures, and other items
• Ensuring the absence of finger marks, spots, and/or soil build-up on walls, partitions, doors, windows, dividers, and other items
• Ensuring the absence of stains, streaks, soil, or other residue or latent odors in bathrooms
• Ensuring the absence of water spots and bacterial growth on sink surfaces and water fountains
• Ensuring the absence of marks, streaks, spots, and stains from all mirrors, stainless steel, chrome, brass, and other bright metal surfaces
• Ensuring the absence of chewing gum on floors, carpets, or any other surface
• Ensuring the absence of incrustation, soil, and wax build-up on floors, particularly in corners, along edges, and baseboards, around door jams, and around furniture and equipment legs and bases
• Ensuring the absence of soil, litter, dust, and incrustation on interior and exterior wastebaskets and trash containers
• Ensuring the absence of marks, spots, stains, and streaks on interior and exterior entrance doors and glass, all partition glass, and interior windows
• Ensuring the absence of soil and dust on window blinds, shades, sills, frames, and ledges
• Ensuring the absence of trash in buildings and on the interior and exterior of the property
• Ensuring the absence of trash and cigarette butts on the interior and exterior of the property
• Providing adequate protection against slippery floors by ensuring areas are free of standing water and appropriate precautionary signs are present
• Ensuring that staff arrives for work on Transit property on time
• Conducting on-site performance and quality inspections as required
• Completing and submitting checklists and logs as required
The vendor will be required to provide comprehensive liability insurance, adequate vehicle liability insurance, and workers' compensation insurance. The vendor will also be required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to employment, labor, and environmental protection.
