Description:
The California Violence Intervention and Prevention (CalVIP) Grant Program is seeking proposals from entities that provide training and certification to Community Violence Intervention (CVI) frontline professionals, specifically community-based street outreach training. The purpose of this RFP is to support efforts under AB 762 by focusing on technical assistance and training. The selected entity will provide training to frontline workers using curricula specific to certifying staff working in a community-based street outreach program. The training should be offered in-person and virtually, in at least four regional areas across California. The entity should also provide a plan to market the training to eligible organizations and their staff, with priority given to the staff of organizations funded by a CalVIP grant. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing training and certification to CVI frontline professionals • Offering in-person and virtual training options • Marketing the training to eligible organizations and their staff • Coordinating training logistics, including space, supplies, and travel • Developing a plan to identify interested trainees and prioritize staff of CalVIP-funded organizations • Providing a final report detailing the outcomes of the training, including the number of frontline workers trained and trainee feedback.
