The City of Carlsbad is seeking bids for the Alejandro Ruiz Senior Center Improvements Phase 3 project. The project involves constructing, furnishing, and equipping improvements to the existing 33,197 Sq Ft senior center, including interior and exterior slab work, restrooms, doors, windows, skylights, storefront glass, and other related improvements. The project is funded in part by a grant from the state of New Mexico Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Program. • The project consists of approximately 30 cy concrete interior slab and 15 cy exterior slab with reinforcing ramp and stairs (ADA compliant). • The project includes two 4-stall (ADA compliant) restrooms and one unisex restroom (ADA compliant) with fixtures. • The project involves the installation of 15 doors with frames and hardware, 48 metal windows and window shades, 6 skylights, and 450 sf storefront glass. • The project requires thermal and moisture protection, insulation, painting, carpet, tiling, ceilings, wall partitions, plumbing, electrical, lighting, cabinetry, and counters. • The project involves the installation of fire extinguishers, fire suppression system, cabling, data wiring, security alarm and camera system, and HVAC modifications. • The project includes sitework, parking lot asphalt paving, concrete curb and gutter, striping, parking bumper, removal and disposal, asbestos abatement, signage, relocation of utilities, and landscaping.
