The City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks is seeking proposals for comprehensive master planning and design consulting services for the development of a Master Plan for South Los Angeles Wetlands Park. The Master Plan will help identify the current strengths, weaknesses, and areas for enhancement within the Plan Area, and will rely heavily on community outreach. The selected Proposer will be responsible for administering the entire project and managing a team of subcontractors. The scope of work includes assembling a comprehensive team of expert professionals, coordinating all subcontractor services, providing an experienced Project Manager, and completing various tasks and deliverables for the Master Plan. Some key aspects of the project include: • Creating a plan for future development to determine where new park and recreation amenities will be located based on community feedback • Analyzing and validating the ownerships of all parcels, utilities, and roads • Creating an inventory of all types of art, signage, and user groups within the Plan Area • Analyzing and proposing enhancements to circulation patterns within the Park • Developing a Strategic Action Plan for the implementation of proposed future projects • Preparing a final Master Plan document that is print-ready and formatted to be effectively posted on the project website.
