The Boone County Schools Board of Education is seeking proposals from qualified Architect/Engineer (A/E) firms for design services for the Cooper High School Fieldhouse Addition project. The project consists of a new addition to the existing athletic field house building, including a new weight room, locker room, restrooms, showers, coaches offices, and family restrooms, as well as a new free-standing building with concessions, restroom banks, and storage areas. The selected A/E firm will be responsible for managing and completing the design within the defined time schedule, approved budget, and quality guidelines. The firm should have experience in designing educational buildings, maintain professional liability insurance, and have the ability to provide experienced staff. • The project is expected to conclude no later than the summer of 2027. • The A/E firm will be required to meet 702 KAR 4:160 and certain qualifications set out in the RFP. • The firm should be knowledgeable of current applicable statutes and codes related to educational building projects in Kentucky. • The firm should have the ability to prepare and submit all necessary documents to appropriate State and Local approval agencies.
