The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard has a requirement for Receipt Inspectors to support the Receipt Inspection Services within the Quality Assurance (QA) Department. The Receipt Inspectors will be responsible for performing visual, dimensional, and generic material identification inspections, as well as setup and inspections on precision surface plates. The inspectors will also be required to operate hardness testers, electronic plating thickness gauges, and surface finish analyzers. The contractor will be required to provide fully trained and proficient machined parts inspectors that meet or exceed the qualifications and experience identified in the statement of work. The period of performance is for one year from the date of award, with an additional two-year option period. • The contractor will provide an estimated level of effort for a contract manager to support the management and reporting aspects of this requirement. • The contractor will provide adequate supervision to oversee the assigned personnel and ensure the proper execution of the assigned tasks. • The contractor will maintain an emergency reporting protocol that informs the designated PNS Technical Point of Contact immediately of any injuries or near misses that occur to contractor employees at PNS. • The contractor will participate in safety investigations when contractor personnel are involved. • The contractor will provide Weekly and Monthly Status Reports containing the metrics identified in the statement of work.
