Description:
The City of Thousand Oaks is seeking a contractor to design and build a microgrid integrating an existing solar photovoltaic system, a new battery energy storage system, and a new generator at the Municipal Service Center. The microgrid will enable off-grid autonomous operation of the facility and provide utility energy arbitrage and peak demand reduction. The contractor will be responsible for procurement and construction of the generator and switchboard, design and engineering of the battery energy storage system, and integration of the microgrid. Key features of the project include: * Design and construction of a microgrid * Procurement and installation of a new generator and switchboard * Design and engineering of a battery energy storage system * Integration of the microgrid with existing solar photovoltaic system * Provision of utility energy arbitrage and peak demand reduction * Compliance with FEMA grant requirements and the Build America, Buy America Act
