The District of Columbia Department of General Services is seeking a design-builder to modernize the Park View Recreation Center. The project includes renovation and modernization of the existing building, as well as enhancements to exterior amenities such as a playground, soccer field, and pool. The design-builder will be responsible for providing full design and construction services, including temporary utilities, public art installation, and coordination of move-in logistical support. The project must be completed within a budget of $14,500,000 and by the substantial completion date of December 31, 2026. • The project requires the design-builder to work with the Department and DPR through a collaborative design process to advance the programmatic requirements to a fully realized project. • The design-builder must conduct subsurface investigation work if required for the project. • The design-builder must provide move coordination and logistics support for the project. • The design-builder must complete the transition, installation, upgrades of the Enteliweb platform, an electronic building automated control system. • The project requires the design-builder to provide a “turn-key” project ready for occupancy by DPR. • The design-builder must ensure that all aspects of the facility are fully accessible and inclusive for users with disabilities. • The design-builder must include additional health and wellness facilities such as fitness centers, yoga rooms, or health clinics to enhance the community's access to health and wellness programs.
