The United States Coast Guard is seeking a contractor to replace the pier deck at Sector Columbia River. The project involves replacing up to 1000 board feet of 6” X 8” Douglas Fir splash treated No.1 or better deck timbers. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision, field verification, and test services necessary to complete the project. The project must be completed by November 1, 2025, and the contractor will be required to work within a specific timeframe to minimize interference with the facilities' normal operations. Key aspects of the project include: • Demolition work to remove and properly dispose of rotten Douglas Fir deck timbers • Installation of new splash treated 4x8 timbers with new 10” galvanized spiral shank nails • Provision of all labor and equipment required to remove and dispose of existing damaged timber decking and to install new timber decking • Compliance with all federal, state, and local health agency instructions for responses to known threats to personal health • Maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment for employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and occupants in the areas where work is performed
