The Texas Department of Criminal Justice is seeking bids to renovate the water tower at the Ramsey Unit in Rosharon, Texas. The project involves removing existing paint and rust from the interior and exterior portions of the elevated storage tank and adding cathodic protection to prevent corrosion. The contractor will be required to provide a lump sum cost bid, and the estimated budget for the project is $1,131,300.00. The performance period for the contract shall be 270 days, and the contractor shall begin mobilization within 30 days of receipt of the Notice to Proceed. • The contractor shall provide four complete sets of the Contract Specifications and Drawings (Project Manual) at no cost to the contractor. • The contractor shall maintain an adequate inspection system and perform such inspections as will ensure that the Work performed under the Contract conforms to Contract requirements. • The contractor shall provide a list of all Contract Construction Workers who will be working on the unit and daily update/revise the list as Contract Construction Workers are added or terminated. • The contractor shall ensure that all Contract Construction Workers comply with the unit's security regulations and shall provide a legible photocopy of one of the acceptable primary identification documents for all Contract Construction Workers. • The contractor shall implement measures to disable vehicular or heavy equipment when left unattended and shall maintain a clear area of at least eight feet from all fences, free from debris, weeds, and other construction materials.
