The City of Oceanside Water Utilities Department is seeking proposals from professional engineering firms for the design of identified electrical upgrades to the Robert A. Weese Water Filtration Plant. The scope of services includes site evaluations, design coordination, preparation and development of complete and functional design documents, and construction support services for electrical single line equipment replacement and associated control upgrades at the plant. The project includes upgrades to motor control centers, automatic transfer switches, and other electrical systems. The selected consultant will be required to enter into a professional services agreement with the City. • The project includes a mandatory pre-proposal meeting on May 28, 2025. • The proposal shall include a cost proposal that is submitted separately. • The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and re-advertise. • The project is anticipated to start in September 2025 and be completed in February 2026. • The City is seeking a consultant with experience in electrical engineering and design. • The consultant will be required to provide a detailed scope of services, including a project schedule and cost breakdown.
