Description:
The Department of the Army is seeking proposals for the CBRN Sensor Integration on Robotic Platforms (CSIRP) Capability Set 4.0 – Expanded CBRN Detection and Autonomy project. The project aims to integrate CBRN sensors and autonomy capabilities onto unmanned aircraft system (UAS), unmanned ground system (UGS), and unmanned surface vessel (USV) platforms. The scope of work includes the engineering and integration of payloads with the ability to detect and identify additional threats and perform sample collection for use on unmanned air, ground, and water-borne surface platforms. Key features of the project include: • Integration of CBRN sensors on unmanned systems to enhance the ability to detect and identify additional threats through a common operating picture • Development of a more accurate biological detection and identification sensor that can do sample collection and provide real-time confirmation of hazard in the battlefield • Integration of novel reduced-size, weight, and power (SWAP) Biological detection, identification, and sample collection system(s) onto UASs, UGSs, and USVs • Achievement of integrated layered defense through deployment of remote sensing solutions for CBRN detection and identification • Provision of integrated situational awareness and real-time understanding of potential CBRN hazards to inform decision making

Budget Estimate (AI):

$10,000,000 – $50,000,000

The budget for this project can be estimated based on the scope of work and the duration of the project. The project is expected to last for 36 months, and the awardee is expected to deliver up to 10 fully operational prototypes. The government has a high confidence level that the funds will be available for this effort, which suggests that the project is well-funded. Based on the scope of work and the duration of the project, a rough estimate of the budget could be in the range of $10 million to $50 million. This estimate is based on the assumption that the project will require significant research and development, engineering, and testing, which can be costly. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the complexity of the project, the number of prototypes to be delivered, and the level of testing and evaluation required.
