Description:
The City of Grand Rapids is seeking a full-time, discretionary investment advisor to manage the Retiree Health Care Trust Fund defined benefit plan assets. The selected advisor will be responsible for providing quarterly investment reports, executing securities purchases and sales, and proactively recommending strategies to minimize portfolio risk and enhance performance. The contract will be for a period of one year with two, one-year renewal options. Key requirements for the advisor include: * Minimum of five years of experience managing pension and/or OPEB assets for public sector clients * Experience managing portfolios of fixed income assets in excess of $100 million * Assets under management (AUM) of at least $500 million * Familiarity with Michigan state statutes and municipal investing regulations * Professional Liability Insurance or Errors and Omissions Insurance with a minimum coverage of $1,000,000
