The Chesapeake Public Schools is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide labor and materials required for the installation, testing, documentation, and acceptance of structured cabling services on an as-needed basis across various school facilities. The selected vendor will be required to have a high level of competency and a minimum of five years' experience designing, procuring, installing, testing, documenting, repairing, and maintaining structured cabling systems and networked distribution services. Some key points to consider: • The contract term will commence upon award and expires one year from the date of award, with the option to extend for four additional one-year periods. • The District intends to award a contract to the vendor whose proposal is most advantageous to the District with respect to price, conformity to the conditions, specifications, and other factors. • The selection process will be based on the vendor's demonstration of responsiveness and responsibility in areas such as executive summary, company overview, references, proposed services, understanding of scope of work, project management and control, personnel management and staff qualifications, and cost proposal.
