The Alumni Outreach Small Grants (AOG) Program is a funding opportunity for past participants of U.S. Government-funded and U.S. Government-sponsored exchange programs. The program aims to strengthen cultural ties between the United States and Uzbekistan through academic and professional programming that highlights shared values and promotes bilateral cooperation. The program has several priority areas, including developing enduring ties, strengthening Uzbekistan's ability to address security and criminal threats, bolstering Uzbekistan's ability to address transnational health threats, advancing economic reforms, and improving public health and education services. The program is open to individual alumni, not-for-profit organizations, civil society/non-governmental organizations, thinktanks, and public and private not-for-profit educational institutions based in Uzbekistan. • Eligible applicants: individual alumni, not-for-profit organizations, civil society/non-governmental organizations, thinktanks, and public and private not-for-profit educational institutions based in Uzbekistan • Priority program areas: developing enduring ties, strengthening Uzbekistan's ability to address security and criminal threats, bolstering Uzbekistan's ability to address transnational health threats, advancing economic reforms, and improving public health and education services • Award amounts: awards may range from a minimum of $1,000 to a maximum of $10,000 • Total available funding: $100,000 • Number of awards: 10-15
