The City of Fresno Department of Transportation is seeking information from qualified manufacturers of on-board destination display signs used on transit bus vehicles. The primary purpose of this RFI is to acquire information from industry experts about on-board destination display signs and advanced transportation technologies for potential integration into FAX's fleet of over 120 transit buses. The objectives are to obtain information about enhanced on-board destination display sign capabilities, current technology, customization and flexibility, improved passenger communication, and cost considerations. The RFI includes a list of criteria that vendors should address in their responses, including specifications, capabilities, system performance and reliability, customization and flexibility, user experience, cost considerations, and vendor experience. • The RFI is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. • The City of Fresno is not seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. • The deadline for submission of this information is March 7, 2025, at 2:00 pm PST. • Submittals may be submitted electronically via Planet Bids. • The City of Fresno reserves the right to cancel this RFI at any time.
