Description:
The US Air Force is conducting market research to determine if responsible sources exist for the repair of F-15E aircraft parts, including flameholders, current monitors, and cables. The Air Force is contemplating a multiple award IDIQ contract for these repair services. The contractor will be required to provide all labor, tools, and equipment necessary to repair the parts to serviceable condition in accordance with Technical Orders and special qualifications. The contractor must have an approved Source of Approved Repair (SAR) letter certified by the MAJCOM AFREP Manager. • The contract will require the contractor to perform inspections, documentation, and repairs of the parts. • The contractor must use the Government Furnished Property (GFP) Module to report receipt of GFP. • The contractor must provide a record of the repair and test results to the Contracting Officer's Representative. • The contractor must certify the repaired products are safe and fully qualified as an operational instrument on the F-15E. • The contractor must provide a shipment tracking number for the return shipment and include the date shipped, list of items, and serial number.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$1,000,000 – $50,000,000

The budget for this contract is difficult to estimate, as the notice does not provide information on the expected contract value. However, based on the scope of work, which includes the repair of F-15E aircraft parts, the contract value could be significant. The Air Force may award a multiple award IDIQ contract, which could have a ceiling value in the millions or tens of millions of dollars. The actual budget will depend on the number of task orders awarded and the prices negotiated for each task order. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the complexity of the repairs, the number of parts to be repaired, and the labor rates of the contractor. A rough estimate for the budget could be between $1 million and $50 million, but this is highly speculative and should be used as a rough order of magnitude only.
