The Decatur County Board of Commissioners is seeking a qualified company to provide residential garbage services for the unincorporated areas of the county. The selected company will be responsible for weekly curbside residential garbage pickup, back door pickup for certain customers, and transporting residential garbage to the Decatur County Landfill. The company must provide a high-quality, cost-effective service with no interruptions to service. The proposal should include a letter of interest, understanding and approach, relevant experience, company information, conflict of interest statement, work schedule, and cost proposal. • Weekly curbside residential garbage pickup for participating residents • Back door pickup for certain customers • Transport residential garbage to the Decatur County Landfill • Customer service representative/liaison between the County and customers • Adequate personnel, equipment, knowledge, and expertise to adequately serve customers • Vehicles and equipment with adequate cover to prevent contents from falling or being blown from the vehicle or equipment while in transit • Water-tight bodies of all garbage collection vehicles to prevent water or other fluids from escaping • All vehicles used for garbage collection shall be of the packer type • All garbage collecting vehicles/equipment shall be washed and maintained in a sanitary condition
