The City of Danville is seeking bids for the crack seal, seal coat, and restripe of the mass transit parking lot. The successful contractor will be determined by the low bid price offered to apply crack seal and two coats of sealant for areas one, two, and three as identified by documentation provided for the base bid and the alternate bid sections of the Invitation to Bid document. The base bid price for Area 3 should not include the cost to crack seal areas that involve spider cracking, which are intended to be patched if funding is available and should only include the cost to seal coat the spider crack areas. Interested contractors should not include in their pricing the cost to crack seal and seal coat the newly paved area of the northeast section of the school bus parking lot area since this work is not needed. • The contractor should provide pricing information for the base bid and alternate bid sections. • The contractor should also provide pricing information for alternate areas, including the picnic table area and certain sections of Area 3. • The contractor should acknowledge receipt of all Addenda.
