The County of Albany is seeking proposals for the redevelopment of the County South End Complex, a 4.6-acre site located in the City's Historic South End Neighborhood. The County is interested in development that may include housing, retail space, community amenities, or other government organization or services. The successful Proposer will be required to execute a contract with the County of Albany in substantial conformance with this RFP. • The site is currently the location of the Albany County Board of Elections, Department of Mental Health, and Department of Health. • The County seeks redevelopment that would benefit the local community and ideally, the surrounding City and County. • The County is interested in either an outright sale of the property to a developer, or some form of public private partnership. • Proposals will be evaluated based on financial and economic benefit to the city and county, offer price and cost incurred to the County, previous experience in urban redevelopment/renewal, and overall quality of proposal.
