Description:
The U.S. Navy is seeking a contractor to perform a Regular Overhaul (ROH) on the USNS PUERTO RICO (T-EPF 11). The ROH is tentatively scheduled for the end of 2026 and will be performed at a contractor shipyard in the Seventh Fleet Area of Responsibility (AOR). The contractor will be responsible for performing various tasks, including hull and structural repairs, propulsion machinery maintenance, electrical work, and habitability outfitting and furnishings. The contractor must have an active registration in the System for Awards Management (SAM.gov) and be authorized to do business in the country of performance. Some key tasks and requirements include: • Hull and structural repairs, including flight deck tie down inspection and corrosion control and ship cleaning • Propulsion machinery maintenance, including reduction gear service and propulsion line shaft bearing inspection • Electrical work, including distribution and control panels service and switchboard cleaning • Habitability outfitting and furnishings, including galley equipment inspection and marine evacuation system maintenance • Drydocking and undocking the vessel, including ride control system maintenance and underwater hull cleaning and painting The contractor must submit a capability statement, which should include a brief description of the firm and its capabilities to perform a major ship repair overhaul. The capability statement should also include relevant work performed, contract types, dollar value of work performed, number of employees, and the number of years the ship repair firm has been in business.
