Description:
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is seeking to purchase a BioSonics DT-X Extreme Autonomous Portable Scientific Echosounder with a specified single beam at 120 kilohertz (kHz) frequency to produce real-time calibrate high-resolution bathymetric and habitat maps in shallow water environments. The contract shall commence upon the issuance of a contract by TPWD and automatically expire upon the delivery date agreed upon and final acceptance by TPWD. The vendor must provide installation and training of TPWD personnel by a Service Engineer. Key features of the echosounder include a single-beam transducer with an operational center frequency of 120 kHz, the ability to interface with a secondary split-beam sonar transducer, and compatibility with Ecoview post-processing software. • The echosounder must have a beam width capability for hydrographic surveys that equate to 6-degree view angle for high resolution of seafloor composition. • The sonar shall have a dynamic range greater than 160 dB and a noise floor of at least -140 dB. • The system must come with vendor-supplied real-time data acquisition software. • The system output shall be compatible with Ecoview post-processing software. • The system shall be compatible with Applanix POS MV Surfmaster One Inertial Navigation System (INS) using National Marine Electronics (NMEA) 0183 interfacing. • The system shall be compatible with Trimble CenterPoint Real Time correction service (RTX). • Training shall be for approximately six (6) staff members and include instructions on how to set up the equipment, adjust sonar parameters, and operate the software. • Training shall occur within 30 days of equipment delivery. • Maximum length of training shall be two days.
