Description:
The FY 2022 Fulbright Scholar Program is a cooperative agreement to assist in the administration of the worldwide Fulbright Scholar Program. The program aims to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries by providing awards for college and university faculty, including early career scholars, and for non-academic professionals to lecture and conduct research abroad. The award recipient will be responsible for the recruitment, selection, placement, monitoring, and organization of enrichment activities for participants, as well as program promotion, disbursement of funds, and record keeping. Some key aspects of the program include: * Approximately 958 U.S. scholars and professionals will be sent abroad to lecture, conduct research, and provide academic consulting at overseas institutions. * Approximately 1,037 visiting scholars will be brought to the United States for similar activities hosted primarily at U.S. colleges and universities. * The program will be managed by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, with the award recipient responsible for the day-to-day administration of the program. * The program will include a range of activities, including long-term exchange activities, shorter-term grant opportunities, and support for follow-on activities to build lasting links between U.S. and foreign academic institutions.
