The Albany Port District Commission is seeking a qualified contractor to provide roof skylight cover and seal installation services for the warehouse roof at the Port of Albany. The project involves removing glass and covering 15 existing skylights, each measuring 10 ft x 30 ft, with reinforced plywood and sealing them to the current roof membrane. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the scope of work. The contract will be awarded based on best value, considering factors such as experience, references, timeline, and proposal response. • The project requires the removal of mullion covers, glass, and ridge cap from skylights, followed by the installation of ¾” PT plywood over the skylight opening and attachment to mullions. • The contractor must fabricate a ridge cap and corners out of .050 Mill Finish Aluminum and attach them to the plywood. • The contractor will also be required to mechanically attach ½” HD Iso board to the plywood and to the ends of the skylight, and glue 060 EPDM to the ends of the skylight, overlapping onto the top and tying into the roof at the bottom in a watertight manner. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and codes, including New York State prevailing wage requirements and OSHA standards. • The contractor will be required to submit certified payrolls, insurance certificates, and other documentation as specified in the contract.
