Description:
The Auraria Higher Education Center (AHEC) is seeking a Financial Aid Interim Director and a Subject Matter Expert to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the Community College of Denver's (CCD) Financial Aid Office. The assessment will evaluate the effectiveness, compliance, and efficiency of financial aid operations and produce clear, actionable findings and recommendations. The interim Financial Aid Director will provide leadership and oversight during the assessment period. Key responsibilities include conducting stakeholder interviews, assessing compliance with federal and state regulations, and evaluating student service effectiveness. The selected vendor must have experience working with public institutions of higher education and demonstrated expertise in federal and state financial aid regulations. • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience conducting financial aid operational reviews, audits, or compliance assessments in a postsecondary education setting. • Must have extensive experience conducting financial aid compliance audits and operational assessments. • Must have a strong track record of adherence to federal compliance, with minimal to no infractions in higher education financial aid administration and federal compliance. • Must have expert knowledge of Title IV federal financial aid regulations. • Must have expertise in student information systems and financial aid software. • Must be able to provide a comprehensive written report of findings, including clear, actionable recommendations. • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
