Description:
The City of Tampa is seeking proposals from qualified companies to provide and install Automated Parking Guidance Systems (APGS) to monitor and display parking availability within Fort Brooke Parking Garage. The selected APGS will be a comprehensive solution capable of monitoring parking spaces, disseminating real-time occupancy data to electronic signage, and potentially integrating with the City's digital platforms. The project is envisioned as a foundational step towards a broader smart parking initiative. Key features of the proposed system include: * Monitoring parking spaces and disseminating real-time occupancy data to electronic signage * Integrating with the City's digital platforms, such as its website and mobile applications * Being scalable and designed with the flexibility to seamlessly integrate and expand into other City-owned/operated parking facilities * Providing a "per-space cost" breakdown for system installation * Including training for City designated personnel * Having a minimum of one year warranty and five-year post-warranty and spare parts contract Some of the key benefits of the proposed system include: * Reducing time spent searching for open parking * Reducing congestion * Decreasing the Parking Division's environmental impact * Maximizing and efficiently utilizing the existing parking inventory * Collecting comprehensive and reliable parking data to inform strategic planning and policy adjustments The City is looking for a proposer with a minimum of five years of successful parking wayfinding and guidance development, design, installation, and maintenance experience in projects of similar capacity.
