The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District, requires the modification of thirty-four (34) mat barges used in the transporting of articulated concrete mattress (ACM). The project includes removing the existing C-channel runners and replacing them with 6" x 14" runs of rectangle tubing. The contractor will be required to provide all the labor, equipment, etc. necessary to remove the existing material on the barges and purchase and install the new material. • The mat barges measure 160' long x 34' wide x 9.5' tall. • The contractor must be able to modify a minimum of five (5) barges to be considered responsive. • The government intends to make one award for one firm fixed price contract. • The period of performance is from 30 Mar 2026 to 30 Mar 2027. • The contractor's facility must be located on the Lower Mississippi River or no farther west on the Inter Coastal Waterway than mile 100, and no farther north on the Ohio/Tennessee River than Calvert City, Kentucky.
