Description:
The Solano Emergency Medical Services Cooperative (SEMSC) is seeking proposals from qualified organizations to provide emergency ambulance services for an exclusive operating area (EOA) in Solano County, California. The EOA includes the cities of Benicia, Dixon, Fairfield, Rio Vista, Suisun City, Vallejo, and the unincorporated areas of the county. The selected provider will be responsible for providing 24-hour, 365-day coverage for all emergency and non-emergency requests for service within the EOA. The provider must meet specific response time standards, provide staffed ambulances for all initial requests for ground emergency ambulance service, and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations. • The contract period will be five years, with the option for a five-year extension. • The provider must have experience in providing emergency medical services and must be able to demonstrate its ability to meet the requirements of the RFP. • The provider will be required to work with existing public service agencies, including fire departments and hospitals. • The provider must have a plan in place for providing emergency medical services during disasters and other emergencies. • The provider will be required to submit regular reports and performance metrics to SEMSC. • The provider must have a system in place for tracking and managing patient care, including electronic patient care reports and quality improvement programs.
