The City of Sandy Springs is seeking a consultant to update its Transportation Master Plan. The plan will reassess travel patterns in the city, prioritize projects, and develop a 10-year project program. The consultant will be responsible for project management, public engagement, existing conditions assessment, recommendations and implementation plan development, and transportation master plan development. The project will build on the city's previous transportation projects and take into consideration changes in the transportation system. Key aspects of the project include: • Updating existing conditions within the city to incorporate newer data describing the city's transportation network • Creating a 10-year transportation prioritized program of projects • Developing planning-level cost estimates for each project • Identifying barriers to or opportunities that would facilitate implementing the plan • Providing a financially constrained, prioritized list of projects for the next ten years The city is looking for a consultant with experience in transportation planning and a strong understanding of the city's transportation needs.
