Beginning Monday, November 25, 2024, electronic files of the Drawings and Specifications will be available to prospective bidders, free of charge, from PennBid ( www.Pennbid.bonfirehub.com ). All bids must be submitted utilizing the PennBid Program.
A Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held at the project site located at the rear of the project building (walk back along Pine St. to the rear of the building) at 133 East Broad St. Tamaqua, PA at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.
One bid shall be submitted which shall include; all sitework to create a new parking lot and functioning site, a new 3-story addition to the rear of the existing building, and renovations to the existing 3-story building. Bids shall be inclusive of all General, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection as required for a complete and operating building and site. If additional information is required concerning the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents all questions must be submitted in writing through the PennBid Program by Thursday, January 2, 2025.
It shall be understood by all bidders that this project has received a Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program Grant (RACP). The contractor must comply with all RACP requirements and guidelines, including but not limited to Prevailing Wage Rates, and all reporting documentation as required by both the RACP guidelines and Prevailing Wage requirements.
Each bid must include Bid Security, a certified check, bank check or bid bond issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in the state of PA, in the amount of 10% of the total contract amount, including all add alternates, payable to The Tamaqua Area Community Partnership. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract amount will be required to be furnished by the successful bidder with a corporate surety approved by The Tamaqua Area Community Partnership. Bidding will be public, utilize Pennsylvania State Prevailing Wage Rates established by the Commonwealth of PA Department of Labor and Industry. One bid will be received for Demolition of 5 houses.

Award of the contract, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.
