The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to issue a Firm-Fixed-Price Purchase Order to IonOptix LLC for the IonOptix Calcium and Contractility System. This system is required to record primary cardiomyocyte calcium and contractility, and currently, equipment produced by IonOptix LLC is the only equipment known to meet these requirements. The system includes various components such as LED light source, Fura-2 optics package, interface and acquisition core, and software modules. The period of performance shall be 8 weeks. • The system must record primary cardiomyocyte calcium and contractility. • The system must permit the researcher to simultaneously record the dynamics of intracellular calcium concentration changes and the dimensions of the cardiac myocyte during stimulated contractions. • The system must allow acquisition of both the length of the contracting cell as well as sarcomere length at >1000 Hz sampling while simultaneously recording cellular calcium. • The system includes various components such as LED light source, Fura-2 optics package, interface and acquisition core, and software modules. • The period of performance shall be 8 weeks.
