Description:
The City of Philadelphia is seeking bids for the sale and periodic removal of #1 Heavy Melt Scrap Metal and Cuploa Cast. The contract will be in effect from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026, with a City option to extend contract for one (1) year to June 30, 2027. The successful bidder will be required to remove the materials upon which prices are quoted in strict accordance with the terms of the proposal. Key aspects of the job include: • Onsite placement of a 40 cubic yard container at the City of Philadelphia's Street Dept. Traffic Signal & Sign Shop • Acceptance of direct shipment, via City vehicles, to the contractor's location within Philadelphia • Removal of materials within 48 hours of notification • Payment based on the weight of the materials removed • A $250.00 Bid Security, in the form of a Certified Check or U.S. Postal Money Order, payable to the City of Philadelphia • Proof of Philadelphia Standard Contract Insurance is required upon award and life of contract
