Description:
The City of Tucson is seeking qualified vendors to provide emergency freezer and refrigerator semi-truck rental services on an as-needed basis. The contract will be utilized in the event of a failure of the facility's freezer or refrigerator, which houses critical criminal evidence. The awarded contract will be structured as an emergency standby agreement, meaning there is no guaranteed usage; however, the vendor must be prepared to mobilize and deliver a fully operational freezer or refrigerator truck, whichever is requested, within an 18-hour timeframe upon request. The key responsibilities of the vendor include: * Providing emergency rental of a freezer/refrigerator-equipped semi-truck to be delivered within 18 hours of request * Ensuring the service is available 24/7, 365 days a year * Confirming availability upon initial contract execution and providing a point of contact for emergency dispatch * Delivering the truck to the Evidence Warehouse, located at 945 E Ohio St., Tucson, AZ, 85714 within the required 18-hour timeframe * Ensuring proper setup, verification of temperature settings, and confirmation of operational readiness before being released for use * Maintaining consistent temperatures below 10 degrees Fahrenheit for freezer semi-trucks and between 36 to 46 degrees Fahrenheit for refrigerator semi-trucks * Providing temperature monitoring and recording capabilities to ensure compliance with storage requirements * Ensuring the truck is secure, lockable, and designed to prevent unauthorized access to stored materials.
