The Boulder County is seeking a Wildfire Partners Mitigation Specialist to work on their wildfire mitigation program. The program aims to help homeowners protect their homes from wildfires by creating and maintaining a home ignition zone with low ignition potential. The specialist will conduct on-site assessments, provide customized reports, and help homeowners navigate the mitigation process. The program has different services for western and eastern Boulder County, and the specialist will work with homeowners, community liaisons, and other stakeholders to provide education, assessments, and mitigation planning. • The specialist will conduct comprehensive on-site assessments of homes to identify weak links in their defenses and provide mitigation measures. • The specialist will provide customized reports to homeowners, including a Mitigation Checklist with photos of items requiring mitigation. • The specialist will work with homeowners to navigate the mitigation process, including follow-up visits and inspections. • The specialist will provide education and community outreach to promote wildfire mitigation and awareness. • The specialist will work with other stakeholders, including community liaisons, realtors, and landscape professionals, to promote wildfire mitigation and awareness.
