The Helix Water District is seeking a licensed C-39 contractor to perform roof repair and install a silicone roof overlay system at the R.M. Levy Water Treatment Plant. The scope of work includes repairing existing roof blisters, applying a silicone overlay system, and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and relevant building codes. The contractor must have at least 7 years of experience in the roofing industry and be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. • The project requires the removal of approximately 3,000 sq. ft. of blistered foam and the application of a silicone overlay system across approximately 12,000 sq. ft. of roof area. • The contractor must ensure all work is completed within the designated work area and that proper precautions are taken to control debris and overspray. • The final silicone overlay product must be applied per the manufacturer's requirements and include a minimum 20-year warranty covering the entire roofing system for both labor and materials. • The contractor must comply with CAL OSHA requirements and make use of personal fall arrest systems, safety monitors, and safety equipment as required while working around and at skylights, edges, and low parapet walls. • A non-mandatory site visit is highly recommended to inspect and confirm measurements of the surface area needing repair and roof overlay work. • The contractor is responsible for determining the exact quantities of materials needed to complete all components of the work.
