Description:
The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Redstone is seeking information from industry partners regarding their capabilities to produce the Hydra-70 2.75 inch rocket system. The system includes a rocket motor and various warhead options. Interested vendors can participate in an Industry Day to provide feedback on the draft Request for Information and learn more about the requirement. Vendors can also submit white papers outlining their proposed solutions, which may include building to the existing Technical Data Package or proposing an alternate design. Key requirements for proposed solutions include the ability to produce the system at scale, comply with military standards and regulations, and meet specific performance criteria. • The Hydra-70 rocket system is used by the U.S. Army and includes a Mk 66 Mod 4 rocket motor and various warhead options. • The system must comply with military standards and regulations, including AR385-10, AR700-127, and MIL-STD-1316F. • Proposed solutions must be able to be produced at scale and meet specific performance criteria, including a maximum range of at least 8km in the unguided configuration. • The U.S. Government is seeking information on industry partners' capabilities to produce the Hydra-70 rocket system and is open to considering alternate designs that meet the required performance criteria.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$2,000,000,000 – $10,000,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate, as it is a sources sought notice and not a formal solicitation. However, based on the fact that the U.S. Government has historically procured over 200,000 Hydra-70 rockets per year, the potential budget could be substantial. Assuming an average cost per unit of $10,000 to $50,000, the total annual budget could range from $2 billion to $10 billion. However, this is highly speculative and the actual budget could be significantly higher or lower, depending on the specifics of the requirement and the proposed solutions.
