The Colorado Department of Education is seeking a qualified vendor to assess the pros and cons of implementing a statewide Student Information System (SIS) for all Colorado public Local Education Providers (LEPs). The vendor will gather broad stakeholder input, collect and assess feedback from representatives from different types, sizes, and geographically located LEPs, and evaluate options and associated costs to recommend those that will provide the highest return on investment for the Department. The scope of work includes process mapping and gap analysis, facilitation skills, data privacy knowledge, and experience with K-12 education, financial analysis, and process analysis. • The vendor will assess the pros and cons of different statewide technology solutions that could reduce the work required at the LEP level for all Colorado public LEPs. • The vendor will evaluate options and associated costs and recommend those options that will provide the highest return on investment for the Department. • The vendor will gather broad stakeholder input, collecting and assessing feedback from representatives from different types, sizes, and geographically located LEPs. • The vendor will provide a final recommendation report that includes a detailed analysis of the pros and cons of each option, as well as a recommendation for the best option. • The vendor will provide a project plan, level of effort assessment, stakeholder engagement plan, and financial modeling report. • The vendor will work collaboratively with the Department's project manager and other stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of the project.
