The UNICOR is seeking a firm-fixed-price contract for an Edge Banding Machine to be used in their Furniture Production Factory for FPI Forrest City, AR. The machine will be used for processing straight workpiece edges and gluing post-processing different edged materials. The factory produces office furniture such as tables, hutches, table legs, bookshelves, file cabinets, and court room furniture. The contract will be awarded based on the best overall value to the government, considering factors such as past performance, price, lead time, and technical approach. Key requirements include: • The machine must be able to process straight workpiece edges and glue post-processing different edged materials in longitudinal and transverse through feed. • The contractor must follow any Special Security Requirements of the correctional facility where the work is performed. • The contractor must be registered in the SAM database prior to submitting a quote and during performance and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation. • The offer must include a technical description of the items being offered, terms of any expressed warranty, price, and any discount terms.
