The City of Cincinnati is seeking a contractor to provide power condition analysis, inspection, and repair services to electrical substations, switchgears, and related equipment on an as-needed basis. The scope of work includes miscellaneous construction, maintenance, and repairs at various Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) treatment plants, substations, pump stations, or other properties owned or managed by the City of Cincinnati. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor and tools necessary to perform the work, except for the use of City-owned stationery installed hoisting apparatuses. The contractor will also be required to provide logs of maintenance performed, onsite or offsite training to City employees, and miscellaneous scheduled and emergency response support services. Some key services that the contractor may be requested to perform include: • Testing, inspection, and maintenance of power systems • Power analysis studies, such as short circuit fault current and power quality analysis • Maintenance, repair, and restoration of breakers • Transformer support and testing services • Relay, instrumentation, network, and power monitoring support services • Inspection, demolition, and installation of above ground and underground distribution equipment The evaluation criteria for this RFP include experience and expertise, qualifications of key personnel, cost and budget, quality assurance and control, and understanding of requirements.
