The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service is seeking sealed bids for the sale of timber. This is a third-row operator select thinning of approximately 245 acres of a 16-year-old slash pine plantation on the City of Williston Airport in Levy County, Florida. The plantation is broken up into 4 units, with timber to be removed in all units being every third row, and operator select thinning in remaining rows. • The estimated pine pulpwood/mulchwood volume to be removed is 5,800 tons. • Boundaries of the sale areas are forest type changes, roads, fences, and firelines. • This sale is being conducted on an airport facility, and all bidders must be escorted while inspecting the sale area. • A tour of the sale area is scheduled for TBD, and interested parties may obtain complete bid information by contacting Michael Edwards. • The Florida Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularity in bids received.
