Description
Philadelphia Energy Authority is seeking three separate proposals to design, supply, and install systems for a solar laboratory at Frankford High School. The work covers three distinct scopes: HVAC system installation, electrical wiring and equipment for solar generation, and window installation to optimize daylight and energy performance. The contractor will be responsible for engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning of each discipline, with coordination across the three scopes to deliver an integrated, high‑performance solar lab.
• HVAC: Design and install heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning systems meeting school standards and supporting solar‑lab equipment cooling requirements.
• Electrical: Provide full electrical infrastructure, including wiring, panels, inverters, and connection to the campus power grid for solar generation and lab loads.
• Window Installation: Supply and install high‑performance glazing and framing to maximize natural light while controlling heat gain/loss.
• Coordination: Integrate all three disciplines to ensure seamless operation, safety compliance, and alignment with the school’s sustainability goals.
• Timeline: Work must be completed after the site visit on April 7 2021, with final deliverables due by the submission deadline of April 30 2021.
