The Bureau of Reclamation is seeking a contractor to perform safety modification work at the Heart Butte Dam in North Dakota. The project involves a comprehensive suite of civil, geotechnical, and structural construction activities designed to enhance the long-term safety, stability, and performance of the dam infrastructure. The scope of work includes dewatering and unwatering systems, cofferdam works, foundation void remediation, outlet works conduit rehabilitation, jet grouting operations, embankment excavation, filter and drainage system construction, and other related activities. The project is expected to take 30 months to complete. Key aspects of the project include: * Dewatering and unwatering systems to facilitate dry working conditions * Cofferdam works to isolate work areas from reservoir and tailwater influences * Foundation void remediation using injection grouting * Outlet works conduit rehabilitation, including selective demolition and reinforcement repair * Jet grouting operations to improve ground strength and reduce permeability * Embankment excavation and construction of new filter and drainage systems * Installation of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) toe drain pipes and cleanouts * Excavation, screening, and delivery of borrow material for embankment stability berm fill * Construction of a new stability berm fill and mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) wall * Placing riprap bedding and riprap along the toe of the stability berm * Rockfill slope protection on lower face and sides of the stability berm * Restoration of all ground disturbance within the construction use area and restoration of gravel access roads.
