Horizontal Decanter Centrifuge

The University of North Dakota is seeking bids for the supply of a horizontal decanter centrifuge system to be used in a research facility for the separation of coal solids from a coal-water slurry. The centrifuge will be used in a pilot-scale coal processing system and must be capable of processing coal slurry streams between 10 and 25 gallons per minute in continuous operation. The successful bidder shall provide the centrifuge, drive system, and basic controls required for operation. • The centrifuge must be designed for continuous-feed, continuous-discharge operation. • The unit must allow for continuous slurry feed, continuous solids discharge, and continuous clarified liquid discharge. • The equipment must be suitable for abrasive coal slurry service. • The bid must include the centrifuge, drive motor(s), differential drive system (if applicable), required gearboxes or VFDs, safety guarding, base frame or skid, and basic operational on/off controls.
