Notice of Intent to Sole Source - MU SF6 Breaker Operating Mechanism

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to solicit and award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price commercial supply contract for the factory rebuild of one breaker operating mechanism for a Main Unit SF6 Generator Circuit Breaker. The contract will be awarded to Nexus Power Solution LLC, as they are the sole authorized regional sales and commercial representative with the exclusive authority to facilitate factory overhauls for this location. The contractor will be responsible for rebuilding the breaker operating mechanism, testing it, and returning it to the government. The contract period of performance is from contract award through September 30th, 2026. • The contractor must provide all materials, parts, and labor in performance of the services as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). • The contractor shall perform these services in accordance with the terms of the contract and as defined in the PWS. • The government will furnish the Hitachi HMB Breaker Operating Mechanism to be rebuilt. • The contractor shall provide a 12-month warranty for the rebuilt mechanism. • The contractor shall be self-sufficient in performing task requirements to the maximum extent possible.
