Description

The Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) is seeking a qualified vendor to design, implement, and manage employer‑based workplace‑training plans (on‑the‑job training, work‑experience, internships, or transitional jobs) for injured workers receiving vocational rehabilitation services in the Wenatchee area (Chelan and Douglas Counties). The contractor will act as the employer of record, coordinate with L&I project staff, maintain payroll, and provide regular performance reporting over a nine‑month pilot. • Must maintain (or establish) an office in Chelan or Douglas County and demonstrate an existing service‑delivery strategy for the region. • Deliver monthly reports, a final project summary, and act as the primary liaison between employers, trainees, and L&I’s vocational‑rehabilitation team. • Fixed‑price contract capped at $40,000, with payments tied to deliverables and reimbursement of trainee wages/benefits.

Budget estimate

$35,000 – $50,000

The contract’s maximum ceiling is $40,000, a fixed‑price amount that covers all labor, payroll processing, and deliverable reporting. Assuming the contractor can meet the scope efficiently, the actual earned amount will likely be close to the ceiling, with modest variations for allowable adjustments. A realistic range is roughly $35,000 to $45,000.
